eharmony is a scam and those running it don’t even know how to do that right. upon signing up for a years service, I was matched with many people, none in my area, which I specificly requested by a certain amount of distance, then 3 days after signing up I was terminated. I called their helpdesk and they could give me no reason as to why, infact everyone there explained to me that they could not help they where not trained to do so, even though they are called the help desk. I asked if their was someone higher up, nope we don’t have such information, they explained that someone, somwhere else ran the big show making the decisions to cancle peoples accounts and they had no way to contact them. So upon getting no help I will wait for my refund, and in doing so I had decided into looking up information on eharmony, it seemed personal reviews yeilded negative responces about the service and non personal praised it like no tommorow, as if they where, I don’t know payed off, or it was required by them so as they could keep their jobs. I also noticed on comment lists like this that when someone gave a negative comment like me, that someone came behind them to leave a possative, as if trying to undermind their reason for not joining the site. trust me stay away from eharmony it will only give you a headache. my advice is to study up on sites like this. that goes along with researching the product your gonna spend a good deal of money on.

I LOVE TRUE.com! I signed up for a free trial and after my 7 days, I was given an additional 30 days for posting my picture! I find it appalling that some of you are complaining about felony and marriage screenings! I’d prefer to search only for men who are seriously looking for a relationship not a threesome with their oversexed wife! About those winks, it’s an option that you can have shut off and oh, does anyone read what they signed up for? It states that you must call and tells you the date to call by! I enjoyed this site so much that I have signed up for a 6 month package! I think the problem is there are too many illiterate people out there who put their credit card out there without reading what they’re signing up for! The same people complaining are probably the same people who emcompass the 80% of Americans in debt because they can’t keep track of their finances! and then wonder why they can’t get a date…it’s laughable!

I have several profiles online at Date.com. In one profile I am heterosexual looking for a male. In another I am bisexual looking for a female for me and my boyfriend. I also like to hook up with a lesbian gal now and then, so I also have a lesbian profile. I am bisexual, so I like guys and gals about equal. I am sincere and honest in all my dealings. I really do like dating guys and gals. This has been a great website for me, but then I am attractive and haven’t had much trouble getting dates anyway. I was always covered up with plenty of dates in college, and since I went to colege in the city I lived in, I still date my old college contacts if there isn’t anything happening online. I’ve had a blast, and hope you do too. There are lots of losers out there, but I ignore them.

Listen up match people. If you want to get into online dating make sure a) you have a thick skin and b) you don’t take things personally, otherwise you’ll suffer. Also, there are two things in very short supply in online dating, one is sincerity and the other is integrity. Read that again: sincerity and integrity – short supply. If you equip yourself with these facts then maybe you’ll be better prepared for the wonderful experience that awaits you.

I have never been on match.com and am in a serious relationship now, but did do e-harmony a few years ago (no I didn’t meet the man I am with there) and like to read this site for the entertaining posts just like the one from “Guilty As Charged”. I’m not outraged by your post at all, but you sound very young and/or immature after the comment you made about laughing about your “conquests” with your frat brothers. I was in a sorority myself, so not cutting the Greek system down at all, but for me, that was the funniest line in your post. Thanks for the laugh.

My experience on e-Harmony has been very good. Only about a 2 weeks after joining, I went on my first date. We hit it off immediately. My date, now my boyfriend of two months, was an e-Harmony member for six months prior to meeting me and had very little luck with the site. He had only received 20 matches, most of which didn’t communicate with him. I was his third date off of the site. He’s an honest, nice guy and very cute as well. So don’t give up hope you e-Harmony people…it worked for me! There is no way that we would have met if we had not been on e-Harmony. I recommend the site with best value!

Eharmony has some good concept in some regards. I like that they try to filter out certain matches based on your criterias. But what I found most lacking were the quality of the people there. I would say about 75% of my matches were not appealing—at least to me—and I’m not talking simply about looks. It seems like a lot of people who are drawn to these internet dating sites have emotional problems or not serious about a partner anyway. Some matches close you out for some capricious reasons. For example, one guy closed me out almost immediately due to supposed differences in family background, even though neither of us had ever discussed our backgrounds…Many other matches were obese…In any event,I don’t really blame eharmony for some of the real weirdos though. They can’t screen every candidate that goes through their system. If you are on eharmony or thinking of joining, just don’t get your hopes high. You might have to go through 20+ matches before you get one decent match.

This website is different from other online dating websites and that is what makes it great. To sign up you must fill out an extensive profile (this can take some time) and when you are done they weed out 97% of their users and point you to the 3% that you are truly compatible with. Then if you like your matches you contact one or more of your matches and get to know each other. There are a lot of people on the net who are saying great things about this new style of online dating. Worth trying out!
